About the competition

What is Species Hack?

A day long event that will bring together ideas from students with experience of identifying species in the field and those with experience of developing apps in the same physical space. Both groups of students have ideas, we want to encourage you to collaborate to make exciting new apps.

Who is it for?

FNES and FPAS students who like to be creative and share their enthusiasm with others.

When will it be?

Saturday 2nd February on Highfield campus. Refreshments will be provided and equipment (field equpiment and devices) for testing out your apps.

What will I gain?

The experience of collaborating with students from outside your subject area, to produce a real product, an app. The event will also have a web presence, which you can indicate to future would-be employers. We will also award prizes for the best apps.
